Chasity Broadbrooks and her husband, Larry, started their business at 5400 U.S. 312 in 2012. They specialize in repairing and maintaining heavy equipment used in construction and agriculture. Now, they can also sell or rent Wacker Neuson equipment, she said.
The open house runs from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at their business, with a barbecue from 11:30 to 2 p.m.
Wacker Neuson has “been around forever and ever,” Chasity Broadbrooks said. “On our lot right now we have an ST 35 skid steer” and a wheel loader, ready to sell. They can also custom order equipment, as well as repairs, she said.
“We’re really diversified,” she said. “That’s the great thing about us.”
She likes that Wacker Neuson is an American company, with production plants in Michigan and Wisconsin.
“I think that’s really awesome,” she said.
MH is a family brand, Chasity said. Larry’s father died not long before they launched their business in Shepherd and they used his “M Lazy H” cattle brand as inspiration for their company logo.
Chasity Broadbrooks said she believes their ability to work on older equipment as well as newer machines “kind of sets us apart.”
And their shop has a TEXA truck diagnostic tool, the only on in Montana, she believes. The TEXA tool plugs into machinery to run codes and diagnose mechanical problems, she said.
She and her husband enjoy operating a local company, she said. Larry is originally from the Malta area and she grew up in Rapelje and graduated from high school in Columbus. She and Larry spend free time helping her father on his ranch, she said, and plan to stay where they are near their families.
“We have a great group of guys in the shop helping us out,” she said.
